Meet Tara

A woman with long gray hair, smiling, wearing a white top and black sweater, and a small nose piercing, against a plain white wall.

If you’re the one everyone turns to, the one who gets things done and holds it all together, you probably know what it’s like to feel exhausted on the inside while still pushing through. You’re used to being strong, capable, and dependable but maybe you’ve started to wonder who takes care of you.

That’s where Tara comes in. She works with women who are used to over-functioning and overachieving, often putting everyone else’s needs ahead of their own. Her clients are smart, driven, and capable, but they’re also tired of carrying so much alone. Therapy with Tara is a place to set it all down for a while and just be honest about how hard it can be to always “keep it together.”

Tara believes good therapy starts with truly listening. In her sessions, she creates a space where you can slow down, breathe, and hear yourself again. She takes a holistic, whole-person approach, paying attention not just to thoughts and emotions, but also to the body, relationships, and the larger systems that shape your life.

Clients often describe Tara as warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. She brings curiosity, humor, and compassion to her work, and she’s not afraid to gently challenge you when it helps you grow. Tara blends evidence-based approaches with mindfulness and self-compassion, helping women untangle patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and constant doing, so they can reconnect with who they are underneath all of that striving.

With experience working with individuals, families, and groups, Tara understands how change happens in connection with others. Her work helps women move toward balance — learning to ask for help, to rest, and to trust that they are enough, even when they’re not accomplishing something.

Tara believes that healing begins with permission. Permission to pause. Permission to feel. Permission to receive support without guilt. Most of all, permission to be seen and accepted exactly as you are.
