PERSONAL BIO

Lauren has a background in performance in both theater and music, and has packed a lot of life experience into the first 4 decades of her life: from dealing blackjack, to banking, cohosting a morning radio show, to working in a hospital for 16 years. When Lauren enrolled in her first social work course in 2010, and found a home where her views, sensitivity, empathy, and passion for social justice were not only welcome, but required… she fell in love and the rest is history.

Lauren is a mother of 2 (human) boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chickens, a bearded dragon, and a Sonoran Desert Tortoise and has been married to her partner for 15 years. Lauren enjoys painting, singing, playing the guitar, dancing, and reading and is at her most peaceful in the woods (bonus points if there is a stream/creek in those woods).

Lauren was diagnosed with AuDHD (combination ASD and ADHD) in early 2025 and has a passion for accommodating and support the “neuro-spicy” women of Arizona in their unique struggles.
